Gas-lubricated compressor seals
Gas-lubricated compressor seals are a new development in process compressor sealing technology. They don't need liquid lubrication. When the compressor starts the lift-off effect of the gas occuring at low rotation speed will prevent the sealing faces to slide on each other. Thus the lifetime of the seal becomes very long. They can be used in a very large range of applications with high pressures up to 450 bar and high peripherical speeds up to 200 m/s.
